Harry Graham

Obituary of Harry J Graham

Harry J. Graham was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to loving parents George and Marie Graham on November 16th, 1940. He has a brother, George Jr., and grew up in a loving home surrounded by a large, loving, extended family. As a boy, he was very close to his brother and cousins, and had many wonderful memories with them at the South Jersey Shore. He was also very close with his father and mother and always honored them. His youth experiences led him to have a strong faith, and he went on to pastor, teach, coach, counsel, and provide emotional support to countless people over the decades. During his college years he played music, coached sports, counseled youth and always made people feel loved. Harry found fulfillment doing all these things, yet always had the desire to have a family. He met his soulmate, Margaret, as God planned it, and they were married August 24th, 1974. They moved to Florida a year later, and became business owners, eventually owning and managing 5 retail meat stores. Harry and Margaret started their family with a baby boy, Gabriel, in 1977, and later welcomed a baby girl, Margo, in 1980. They bought their first family home on the water on 16th Ave, Indian Rocks Beach, FL and lived there for over 20 years raising their children with a cherished beach lifestyle. After he sold his business, Harry went on to work for the juvenile justice system as a juvenile counselor, and provided caring services to many families with troubled youth. Later in life, he retired and served as a crossing guard continuing his love for helping families and youth. He also provided care to several of his grandchildren in their infant to preschool years and remained very close to all them as they grew. He is survived by his loving wife, Margaret, of 49 years, his son Gabriel (daughter in law Anna), his daughter Margo (son in law Adam), and 7 grandchildren, Shiloh Elizabeth, Ava Galilee, Selah Joy, Zion Gabriel, Clate Christian, Luke Callan, and Jericho Brian. As well as his brother George (sister in law Marianne), nephew George III (his wife Annette and great nephews Tyler and Alex and wife Melissa), and niece Sunny. He has touched so many lives and will always be respected and loved by everyone who knew him. He definitely exemplified living a self-sacrificial lifestyle and will remain in so many hearts forever.
